The FZ-55 Panasonic toughbook comes with two display versions: the HD 1366 x 768 pixel version and the FHD 1920 x 1080 pixel version. The FHD also is a 10-pt capacitive touch display that has 1000 nit brightness and is sunlight viewable. When demonstrating the FZ-55 and discussing it with customers, we have come across a little known setting in Windows 10 that is affecting the maximum screen brightness of the touch version of the FZ-55. In this video, we walk you through the ways to turn off/on the adaptive screen brightness in Windows 10; when turned off, the maximum screen brightness output of the Toughbook 55 actually increases a small amount. Our cameras might not have demonstrated how much of a brightness change is accomplished with this setting but every nit counts when trying to view the FZ-55 screen in bright light.
