One of the biggest challenges with a mobile computer is laptop battery life. The new Panasonic Semi-Rugged Toughbook FZ-55 by default boasts a standard battery life of and incredible 18-20 hours. Users can easily upgrade any FZ-55 with a second battery with no additional install. The FZ-55 has 3 expansion slots which can be user customized within seconds. Sliding the 2nd battery into the front expansion slot brings the battery life of the FZ-55 Toughbook up to a whopping 35-40 hours! Doing away with multiple types of batteries that were optional with previous generations, Panasonic has relegated the FZ-55 to only one battery option: the FZ-VZSU1HU. With a 2nd battery installed in the front expansion port, the FZ-55 becomes hot swappable with either battery (meaning the user can remove a depleted battery and replace it without having to power down the Toughbook.) In this video, The Rugged Store shows you how easy it is to install one of the most sought after FZ-55 xPAKs. Interested in the FZ-55?
