Panasonic launches the FZ-G2 Panasonic Toughbook as a compilation of years being the leading edge of the rugged industry. Fully rugged and able to be combined with the optional OEM keyboard, the FZ-G2 is a hybrid of the CF-20 and FZ-G1 Toughbooks. Featuring backwards compatibility with most Toughbook FZ-G1 and CF-20 docks, a more robust keyboard docking connection and a host of quality of life improvements the FZ-G2 is the pinnacle of the rugged laptop. One of the features that dawned in the rugged industry with the FZ-55 Toughbook, Panasonic has brought modular upgrades to the FZ-G2 that can be performed by the user inside of a few seconds. FZ-G2 xPaks such as insertable or contactless smartcard, barcode reader, thermal camera and additional USB or LAN ports help the user both customize and future proof their Toughbook investment.
